So let's get right to it - I LOVE coffee! I love it hot, I love it flavored, and I especially love it iced! This post is for all you coffee lovers out there who like me, want something that tastes delicious but also saves you money! Now don't get me wrong, I often fall victim to the iced caramel macchiato calls of Starbucks, however for days when I'm in a rush, working from home, or when I don't have $6 to spare, I like to make my coffee treats at home. Plus I love the challenge of recreating packaged and restaurant food at home in a more nutritious but just as delicious way!
Now to be honest I don't know where the original idea came from - I have tried NUMEROUS iced coffee recipes and techniques in the past, but I thought the idea of using coffee ice cubes in a sort of reversed ice coffee fashion was worth a shot! There are tons of videos on youtube for similar recipes and one of my favorite food ladies 'The Pioneer Woman' has an amazing take on creating iced coffee as well. But I like simplicity. And it doesn't get much simpler than this. Follow the directions below and you are on your way to experiencing big taste while saving big bucks!
