Can you believe it's June 1st already!? I cannot quite fathom where the month of May went, or April, or March for that matter. Time seems to be flying by around here that's for sure! They say time flies when you're having fun and I certainly think that's true! There are many exciting things going on around the Whitty Nutrition house including lots of new clients, a big nutrition symposium coming up where Whitty Nutrition will have a booth set up to meet as many of you local followers as possible (stay tuned for more details on how you can attend), as well as a few weddings that we are VERY excited about including two of our very best friends that are getting married this Friday. Can. Not. Wait!
With all the busy that comes with life these days clients often ask me what they can make for supper that is nutritious, easy, and most of all FAST. It seems that many of us can manage to get in breakfast and a sensible lunch at work but after a long and busy day supper seems to be the meal that falls by the wayside most often. Whether it means you resort to take-out, frozen pizza, or just another bowl of cold cereal, supper can be challenging when you're not prepared or not sure what to make. Never fear.... Whitty Nutrition is here to make it easy. I've compiled a list of some of my top simple supper ideas that require little cooking and will make sure you get something well rounded on the days when you haven't had the time to think about what to make.
Of course, a complete dinner starting from scratch would be ideal and is often the most nutritious way to go, it's not the reality for many of us. Use these ideas in a pinch and take the time to really enjoy some home cooking on the weekends or your days off. Cooking can be therapeutic and fun! Like I always say - make a night of it with your friends or significant other by cranking the music, choosing a new and exciting recipe, and set the table up as glamorously as you like and enjoy eating at home more often!
